How Many Of These Are Hiding In Your House?

http-::www.consumerreports.org:cro:2012:04:how-to-recycle-old-electronics-devices:indexDo any of these look familiar? When clearing the clutter in homes I always seem to find hidden in a drawer or cabinet old electronics. Old cell phones, iPods, Game Boys you name it and I’ve seen it.

One reason most people hold onto old electronics is because they don’t know how to dispose of them and they don’t want to just throw them in the garbage so they keep them and toss them in a drawer.

IMG_1716The first step when disposing of old electronics is check your local website. They always have a section on where to donate old electronics.

Consumer Reports has a complete list of How to Recycle Old Electronics.

Operation Gratitude supports the troops by donating old cell phones, iPads and iPods to the U.S. troops overseas.

Ebay and Craigslist are also an option if you have the time to commit to the process.

Gazelle and iRe Tron will buy and sell your old equipment. You won’t get top dollar but ridding yourself of the old equipment is well worth it.

There are so many options available do your homework and choose the option that is simple and convenient.

By donating your old electronics you will be helping yourself and someone else.
