This weeks organizing question is regarding pillow shams. Women love them and men don’t understand them so what is the compromise? Pairing down the number of shams you have and purchasing pillow cases that work double duty.

One of my favorite pillowcases is Simply Vera Wang at Kohls. They have an 800 thread count with and envelope enclosure which gives you the pillowcase and sham in one.

Restoration Hardware is another place to find simple but beautiful pillowcases that can double as shams. Their hotel bedding gives your bed that luxurious hotel look and feel in your own home.

No one likes to get up in the middle of the night and trip over pillows that have been thrown on the floor. Unless you have an area to store them do yourself a favor and simplify your morning and evening routine by pairing down the pillows to something that is practical as well a pretty.

One simple space saving idea for a small bedroom is to use a chest of drawers in your closet instead of the bedroom. If your dresser will not fit in your closet  an inexpensive option is the MALM dresser from IKEA.
