This weeks question is not about organizing but I have often been asked about the products I use for my business and when I love something I want to share it. MOO is the company I have used for several years for all my paper products. They have quality products and great customer service which many of you know hard that is to find. It’s the small details that make a difference when running your own business and a business card is the first impression you make and represents who you are. Their business cards come in different sizes and price points to fit any budget.
MOO makes ordering online easy and if you get stuck there is always a person on the other end to help. I like to keep it simple but there are custom designs to fit everyone’s taste whether personal or business. I use MOO for business cards, stickers, postcards and now they carry notebooks which will be my next purchase. If you follow me you know my love of notebooks for making lists and keeping notes.
Their website is easy to navigate and if you need a bit of inspiration they have a page for that too! If you are thinking about ordering MOO products for your business or home now is the time because they are offering free shipping on orders over $80
Its that time of year when your closet can use a refresh to get ready for the upcoming warmer weather. This weeks question how do I store my winter clothes? This is a great question because storing your winter clothes properly not only protects them from dust but keeps them in good shape and ready to wear in the fall. These are a few of my tips and favorites things that I personally use and recommend.
PURGE
Spring is a great time to purge the winter items you didn’t wear, don’t fit properly, are no longer your style and are not in great shape.
UNDER THE BED
If you live in a small space you will gain storage by utilizing the space under the bed. You can store winter items you are not using and make room in your closet for spring and summer.
CONTAINERS Containers are the easiest and least expensive way to store out of season items. I love linen and these are not only functional but look great too! These clear containers are favorites because they are available in many different sizes so you can store sweaters, shoes, boots, and accessories. Using inserts in your boots before you contain them will help them retain their shape. Don’t forget to label your containers so you will know what is inside.
HANGING STORAGE BAGS One way to store winter coats and jackets is to use hanging storage bags. These are made from natural, breathable cotton fabric and are great for storing multiple items.

This week I had the pleasure of collaborating with J.Crew for their Transition into Spring event. The event focused on tips to transition your closet from winter to spring and we got a sneak peek at new spring arrivals.
Spring is a great time to reevaluate your wardrobe. Decide what items you are ready to let go of to make room for the new things you will love and wear. Here are a few of my tips to spruce up your closet for Spring and prepare for warmer weather.
PURGE WITH A SPRING MINDSET
How do you start to purge? By letting go of clothes that no longer fit, are not your style, you haven’t worn in two winter seasons and items that are not in great shape. Include bags, shoes, and accessories when purging from one season to another.
CHANGE YOUR HANGERS It’s easy, inexpensive and gives you immediate results. If you do nothing else changing your hangers can and will make a big difference.
CONTAIN AND LABEL WINTER ITEMS
Containers are the perfect solution for utilizing vertical space in a closet. Stack multiple containers with seldom worn shoes or off-season clothing and accessories. If you have a spare closet keep all winter items together for convenience and you will gain more space in your closet for Spring and Summer clothing. These are my favorites for storing almost anything because they come in many different sizes.
UTILIZE THE SPACE UNDER THE BED
There are differing opinions on storing items under a bed. The simple truth is if you are tight on space storing off-season items under the bed allows you to have more space in your closet for the current season. Under Bed containers come in many different sizes but make sure they have lids to keep out dust and bugs.
KEEP YOUR BOOTS IN SHAPE
Boot inserts help boots retain their shape so when you pull them out in the fall they look great! These are my go-to for my own boots as well as what I use with my clients. I also love these to store booties on a shelf. They keep them free of dust and allows you to store the booties standing up to retain their shape.
Spring is the best time of year to refresh and revitalize your wardrobe. Your self-esteem will be renewed by only keeping the things you love, wear and make you feel good about yourself. You will save time by not searching for an item and feel less frustrated and have a sense of calm every time you open your closet door.
Invest the time to reap the reward for the closet you deserve.
