A Mother/Daughter Bond

I was so sad to hear of the passing of Joan Rivers yesterday. I know she was 81 and lived a long life with so much success but all I kept thinking about was her daughter Melissa. They were extremely close and no matter what age your mother is a life without her is unbearable to think about.

Her daughter was the joy of her life and during an interview with E! she said “I gave birth to my best friend”.

She was an amazing women, funny comedian, talented author but most importantly Melissa’s mother. RIP Joan.

Simple Solutions//The Foyer Bench

http-::www.realsimple.com:magazine-more:
One of my favorite magazine’s that I still buy at the grocery store is Real Simple. I love their recipes, tips and photo layouts. This month I was drawn to the cover photo, a simple bench in an entryway. It is the perfect catch all for everyday items as you walk in the door.

The Ballard Designs Storage Ottoman is one of my favorite ottomans. It not only looks good but it is perfect for storing cold weather gear and occasionally used items for pets or people. An uncluttered foyer makes a stress free entrance.
