Realistic Resolutions

With every new year you see the same scenario. The gym is packed with people you have never seen, diet commercials are constantly being played on TV and stores stock their shelves with items to get you organized.

The reality is in order to stick to any resolution you have to set realistic goals.

If you want your resolution to become a routine start small whether it’s an exercise program, new diet or getting organized. If you set goals that are unattainable you will be disappointed and frustrated by February.

Start by taking a walk around the block and each day go a little further.

Try to cut out sugar from your diet by giving up soda. Your skin and body will thank you.

If you are in need of some organizational help start with one closet or one area in your home at a time. Once you see the results it will motivate you to move on to another area in your home.

If you tackle a small project that takes a small amount of time you will feel like you can conquer something larger with a bit more time.

Nothing is easy without some sort of effort. Be proud of your accomplishments even if they are just small steps.

Happy New Year!
